This beautiful unique hand painted chair that has been upcycled by artisan Lucy Tiffney. The seat has been covered in Lucy's signature bold and bright botanical fabric Lagoon. An inky midnight blue colour has been used for the main painted areas of the chair with a hand muralled motif on the back slates. This piece has been produced and upcycled for the BBC1's design and upcycling series Money For Nothing. The chair was originally produced by the 1953 British company G Plan. This furniture manufacture was the brainchild of a visionary Ebeneezer Gomme. Who's company saw a boom in the 1950s after years of post-war austerity and rationing. Chair measures 83 cm in height, seat 48 x 44 cm. Leg height 46 cm.
